The Frying Pan Tower, also known as the supposedly most dangerous hotel in the world, is located in the heart of a hurricane area and can only be reached by helicopter. With a price of 2300 € for a return flight, this cost is divided between a maximum of three guests.
The rusting structure, once used by the US Coast Guard and later decommissioned, was purchased in 2010 by an enthusiastic individual bidder for €70,000.
A time capsule of the 60s
The accommodation itself is a journey back in time, with facilities that have remained unchanged since the early days of the tower. Guests pay €530 per person for a weekend to stay in a hotel that looks more like a building site – a concept that seems to be part of the charm.
